Daydreams successfully lived up to its billing as one of the 'must-go' parties over the Easter-weekend, when promoter PJ Wright, played host to his ultra-inclusive 'beach edition' party, at Drax Hall Estate in Ocho Rios, St Ann on Sunday.
Previous Daydream parties have been nothing short of fun and frolic, and the latest edition was no different.
"In all aspects of the party, people came out to the point where it was overwhelming and we couldn't cater to the amount," Wright told THE STAR via telephone.
"We were taking the risk, we wanted to host a party that the patrons would enjoy to the max," he added.
And as it unfolded, they did just that. The music provided by Coppershot, ZJ Liquid, Chromatic, Timeless and DJ Crazy Neil, was impeccable. But, there were other aspects of the party that made the event a memorable one.
Many would want to thank PJ and his Wright Image Entertainment crew for their effort, after having the luxury of all-night food service, and despite the massive crowd, the security and parking were up to standard.
The occasion called for everyone to be at their best, but it was the selectors who made the most impact. Portmore-based sound system Chromatic controlled the early juggling and pleased the audience with songs like Wayne Wonder's Got Somebody and Sean Paul's Get Busy.
splendid
More and more the patrons seemed to be having a blast and were taken on a trip down memory lane by DJ Timeless, who played a string of rap hits from the 1990's.
The females were all looking splendid, some opted for the more skimpy approach while others left a little to be desired. Destiny Child's smash hit Independent Women, got huge forwards, and the roars continued when Timeless played songs like Konshens' Realest Song and Vybz Kartel's Life We Living.
At this time, the energy level was high, and the likes of Coppershot and ZJ Liquid were yet to grace the turntables.
DJ Crazy Neil added his energy to the already buzzing atmosphere, and got numerous 'forwards', the biggest coming when they played Black Eyed Peas' I Got A Feeling.
Coppershot's DJ Cutty didn't disappoint either when he played songs like Run Uptown and Starlight.
ZJ Liquid followed with a set that was decorated with a number of current Vybz Kartel and Mavado hits. However, his biggest forwards came when he played the songs Slow Motion and Come Into My Room.
Chromatic returned for another special segment, and by that time, the crowd seemed to have had their money's worth, allowing the selector to have his own way, while he played clips from Super Mario, and the Mother's Power Patty advertisement.
