Jay-Z Entering Into The Headphone Business!

Following in the footsteps of Hip-Hop moguls Diddy and Dr. Dre, rap superstar Jay-Z is launching his own line of headphones through his company Roc Nation in partnership with headphone connoisseur, Skullcandy. Together, the two will create the Roc Nation Aviator headphone series, and according to Skullcandy reps, “push new levels” of style and sound.

“This partnership is an incredible opportunity for Skullcandy,” said Rick Alden, Skullcandy CEO. “By teaming up with Roc Nation on both the creative and marketing direction of these products, we are able to set the bar at a new high -- challenging the future quality of what emerges in the industry from here on out.”

The headphones are made with “superior metals,” polycarbonate headphone cups, plush memory foam ear cushions, and other technology to provide you with the best music listening experience, which according to Jay-Z is the main goal of the alliance between the two companies.

“Our passion is creating amazing music,” said the New York rapper in a statement. “We’re dedicated to delivering the best in live performances. Now with the Roc Nation/Skullcandy partnership, we’re offering the best way for people to experience the soundtrack of their lives.”

Roc Nation Aviators, which carry a $149 price tag, will be released in June with three color options -- black, brown, and white.
