Producers Cool & Dre are the latest addition to the ever-growing Cash Money Records roster. The production duo made the announcement via their Twitter account and told fans to expect some projects featuring collaborations with CMR artists as well as those from the Young Money imprint.
“Shout out to [everyone] at Cash Money for helping to make this partnership a reality,” read the tweet. “Freeweezy! ‘I Am Not A Human’ on the way!”
“Look out for projects produced by Cool & Dre thru [the] Cash Money imprint alongside records for the CMYM label roster. Stunna let’s get it!” added the duo, before concluding with, “Just locked in with Cash Money officially. We always been fam and that won’t ever stop. Now we’re making power moves 2gether on the business.”
The two most recently appeared on Wale’s More About Nothing mixtape via the song The Motivation (Be Right) and on Game’s Brake Lights mixtape and also appeared on official albums for both rappers in the past. They are responsible for the West Coast MC’s hit single Hate It Or Love It and Wale’s Chillin’.
Though they are happy with Cash Money, several other producers including Bangladesh and Jim Jonsin have spoken out against the label after they failed to get paid for their contributions to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III LP.
