Hip-Hop’s superstars will all come together to perform at this year’s Summer Jam concert on June 6. The show, which is being hosted by New York radio station Hot 97, will be held at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey, and the performers were announced yesterday (May 3) morning.
Usher will headline the event with support from the likes of Trey Songz, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Fabolous, Juelz Santana, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek), and a soon to be released Gucci Mane.
More artists will be added to the list as the event date nears, and in typical Summer Jam fashion there will be some surprise guests.
Usher is currently riding high off of the success of his latest album, Raymond v. Raymond, which sold over 300,000 copies in its first week, and has spun the hit singles Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home), Lil Freak, and the international hit OMG.
Drake is scheduled to release his highly anticipated album, Thank Me Later, on June 15. His lead single Over was released earlier this year, and other tracks including Shut It Down featuring The-Dream, Miss Me, and the Kanye-produced Find Your Love have leaked onto the web most recently.
